BRAKE REGULATOR
KEY GEAR RGVP-675T

Brake lever gear regulator RGVP-675T (RTRP-675T) - is designed to automatically ensure constant tension of the brake levers connecting the brake cylinder with the brake pads. The presence of the regulator eliminates the need for manual adjustment of the brake lever gear after wear of the brake pads or other changes in the gear geometry.
The RGVP-675T (RTRP-675T) regulator is installed on freight cars between the rods of the brake lever transmission.
Device and Operating Principle
The brake rigging lever transmission regulator consists of a housing, a ratchet mechanism, a lever system, a spring block, and a self-adjusting mechanism that activates when a predetermined backlash threshold is exceeded. During operation, the regulator automatically compensates for excessive brake cylinder stroke resulting from brake shoe wear, maintaining the required clearance between the brake shoes and the wheels.
The operating principle is based on converting the linear motion of the brake rigging rods into rotational motion of the ratchet mechanism. When a specified rotation angle is reached, the ratchet mechanism shifts the adjustment unit, reducing the length of the lever transmission. This ensures optimal performance of the wagon brake system under various operating conditions.
