This article was created based on numerous discussions with suppliers on the topical topic “How do you like working as a supplier of JSC “UZ”?” and numerous meetings, conferences, and discussions with representatives of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”.

In this article, Denis Korolev, authorized representative of LLC "LEBEDYNSKY MBDE PLANT "TEMP", proposes to consider how to ensure that JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" hears the opinions of suppliers of critically important types of goods.

Establishing direct contact with JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”

The first step is to establish direct contact between suppliers and JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”. This can be done through various meetings, conferences or forums where representatives of both parties can discuss their issues and problems.

This approach will allow for more effective communication of suppliers' thoughts and ideas.

I would like to note that on March 26, 2024, JSC Ukrzaliznytsia held "Supplier Day 2024" - the first conference in the company's history dedicated to the topic of procurement, which was held in a "round table" format, at which issues with Suppliers were raised.

Suppliers asked a number of questions to JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, but the answer to them was the phrase: “Write proposals on Prozorro…”, that is, the whole meaning of the “round table” was reduced to “another phrase.”

In other words, the Round Table was typical, in which the essence and key issues were not revealed, there was no clear and understandable discussion, and no specific proposals for interaction were voiced, except for the phrase above.

The only thing that was said was that we plan to hold the next round table in April...

Creating an open dialogue with JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”

JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" should emphasize creating an open and constructive dialogue with suppliers.

To do this, I propose to use various communication platforms, such as online forums or specialized web portals, the participants of which will be UZ specialists (lawyers, specialists from tender committees, representatives of UZ procurement departments, technical specialists) and representatives of Suppliers.

It is important to provide an opportunity for suppliers to speak out and share their opinions on issues that affect their operations and the transportation of goods.

And it is no less important to hear the opinions of UZ JSC specialists (quality of supply, speed of delivery, price reduction, etc.).

I propose a mutual, two-way partnership, not a one-sided expression of "desires" by Suppliers!

Organization of feedback with JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”

In order for JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" to hear the opinions of suppliers, it is necessary to organize a feedback system!!!

It is important that suppliers have the opportunity to send their suggestions, comments or complaints directly to JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", and be sure that their messages will be considered and taken into account. This will allow building a mutually beneficial partnership between UZ and suppliers.

Active participation of suppliers of goods and services of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”

Suppliers should also actively participate in the feedback process and provide constructive suggestions to JSC Ukrzaliznytsia.

They should be able to offer new ideas for improving logistics processes, discuss possible problems, and seek optimal solutions together with JSC Ukrzaliznytsia!

Such a partnership will make both parties more responsible and improve the quality of services!

The interaction between JSC Ukrzaliznytsia and suppliers of critical goods is a key factor for effective cargo transportation.

In order for JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" to hear the opinions of suppliers and for Suppliers not to "raise" prices unreasonably, it is necessary to establish direct contact, create an open dialogue, organize a feedback system and actively involve Suppliers in improving the quality and speed of deliveries, indicating adequate, market prices in commercial offers!

Only in this way can mutual understanding and trust be achieved between both parties and ensure the effective functioning of the supply network for JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia".
